Returns & Exchanges Policy
At House of Spells, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We are grateful for your business and are committed to making your shopping experience as smooth as possible.
Our 30-Day Return Window
You have 30 days from the date of purchase to return or exchange an item. Unfortunately, if 30 days have passed since your purchase, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.
Free Returns & Exchanges (Our Error)
We will issue a full refund or exchange within 5 business days after the returned product is delivered to us if:
- You received item(s) in poor, damaged, or mutilated condition.
- You received item(s) different from what you ordered.
Important: Any claim or complaint regarding damaged goods must be reported within 48 hours of product delivery. Claims made after this timeframe will not be considered valid.
If your return is due to our error as described above, we will cover the shipping charges for both the return and the exchange product.
Returns & Exchanges (Change of Mind)
If you change your mind and the item does not meet the conditions for free returns (i.e., it was not damaged or incorrect), we will still process an exchange or refund for you. However, in this case, you will be responsible for all return shipping charges.
Eligibility for Return
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
- Unused and in the same condition that you received it.
- In its original packaging.
A receipt or proof of purchase is required to complete your return. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Non-Returnable Items
Certain types of goods are exempt from being returned. These include:
- Perishable goods: Such as food, flowers, newspapers, or magazines.
- Intimate or sanitary goods.
- Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases.
- Gift cards.
- Health and personal care items.
Partial Refunds (If Applicable)
In certain situations, only partial refunds may be granted:
- Books with obvious signs of use.
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged, or has missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
- Any item returned more than 30 days after delivery.
Refunds Process
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also inform you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 5 business days or as applicable by your payment method provider.
Late or Missing Refunds (If Applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, please follow these steps:
- Check your bank account again.
- Contact your credit card company. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
- Contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale Items
Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges
We will replace items only if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, please send us an email at info@houseofspells.co.uk and ship your item to:

Gifts
- If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
- If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will issue a refund to the gift giver, and they will be notified of your return.

The time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary depending on your location.
For items over £75, we strongly recommend considering using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. Please consult with us before shipping if the item value is high.
